PIANO
by Rosie Vohra
Responding to paired sculpture, ‘The Elephant in the Room’ addressing the tragic past and present cruelty of elephants, the design encompasses a sensitive reflection of the skin and scale of the creatures, a shrine, a record of time spent grieving and acknowledgement of that sadness.
Inspired by wrap around pattern and images, there has been a process of destruction and putting the piano back together, with paint applied underneath and on its innards.
