Creatively exploring the theme of power to the people, with integrated words from both people and the leaders who inspire, the red vinyl backdrop representing the anger about injustice, and the ants within illustrating the collective power which comes from many working together. 

SCLUPTURE

Power to the People

Two playable grand pianos face off one another, each boasting a large gramophone-like pentagonal horn made from the lids and soundboards of pianos. Like megaphones these ‘pentahorns’ amplify the sound of the player’s voice but also like massive ear trumpets each catches the sound of the other such that, even at a distance, two pianos may meet and spar with each other continuing the long tradition of public protest in this place.
